The desert section begins from this point, together with the Base Package riders
3. On the Ride – Support & Tracking
-
Riders are led and swept by designated ride leaders
-
Lead and sweep communicate via 2-way radios
-
A DMD2 group will be used for live rider tracking
-
Support vehicles remain on tarmac only, moving between planned refuel points using shared coordinates and going off-road where necessary.
-
Rider progress is monitored throughout the ride to manage timing and safety
4. Refuelling & Hydration
-
Fuel provided at planned refuel stops using 20L Tuff Jugs
-
Fire extinguishers are present at every refuel point
-
Water refills are available at each stop
-
Support carries sufficient water and basic refreshments for hydration top-ups
5. Camp Night (Overnight Stop, Midway 17th Jan) ⬅
Location point: 📍 https://maps.app.goo.gl/UVSi7baRGob9SnrA8
If we set up camp anywhere within this area or between the roads, Al Sahil, E65 (east of camp point) or E45 (West of camp point), there are flat off-road trails for cars to connect these roads easily.
At the overnight camp:
-
Support will set up a shared fire
-
A basic cooking/coffee station will be available
Riders are responsible for:
-
Pitching their own tents
-
Cooking their own food
-
Managing personal gear and equipment
This is a self-sufficient camp with logistical support only.
6. Sunday / Liwa Arrival & Return Transport
Sunday follows the same structure:
-
Riders remain on the track
-
Support moves between refuel points on the tarmac
At the Liwa endpoint: 📍 https://maps.app.goo.gl/VbhMUrnRiLD2bySW8
-
Bikes and gear are loaded onto support vehicles
-
Riders are transported back to Abu Dhabi or Dubai using a mix of support vehicle seats and taxis
-
Return location will be the original meet-up point
Logistics Focus
The logistics management approach is built around:
-
Structured and predictable support
-
Reliable fuel and water points
-
Live tracking and radio coordination
-
Clear separation of rider responsibility vs support responsibility
This model ensures the rally remains efficient, safe, and manageable across both days.
📍 GENERAL INFORMATION (Applies to All Riders)

🧭 Eligibility Requirements (ADV & MX)
🏍️ MX Riders
This rally is MX-bike friendly, with:
-
Regular fuel stops
-
Checkpoints spaced for smaller tanks
-
Options to load your bike and skip ahead if fatigue builds (space permitting)
MX riders who find long soft-sand stretches difficult may temporarily load their bike at a checkpoint and rejoin later.
🏍️ ADV Riders - Strict Participation Criteria
This rally is only suitable for highly experienced ADV riders due to demanding terrain and long off-road distances.
ADV riders must be able to:
-
Ride confidently in deep sand
-
Maintain steady forward progress
-
Manage their energy and bike handling with minimal recovery stops
-
Handle bike drops and soft-sand transitions quickly
-
Avoid creating delays that affect overall group movement and support timings
This is NOT a beginner or intermediate ADV ride. Any ADV rider unable to maintain pace may be asked to load their bike onto support transport (space permitting) and move to the next checkpoint for safety and group continuity.
👤 Rider Responsibilities

Full riding gear is mandatory
-
Bikes must be mechanically sound before the event
-
Riders must carry water, tools, and emergency basics
-
Navigation devices (GPS/Garmin/Phone with GPX capability) required
