Karl set aside some time to organise a non-profit cross-country community of riders to enjoy longer full-day rides. From the birth of these types of rides in 2022 the once-a-month long ride aka "Desert Rally Raid" has become very popular with numbers growing to 15+ riders at times and we are back this year with more planned. About the desert raid
The Desert Raid is a friendly none competitive local community of riders that welcomes tourists and international visitors alike riding across the country on full-day and sometimes multiple-day bike tours. Tackling big sand dunes in the mighty UAE desert and on occasion, we cross river beds, mountain pass trails and beaches.

This Raid is a paid participation. You will find more info on the booking here If you want to be a member its only: AED 50 joining in as a Desert Raid Tier #1 member to What Adventures by Karlevlogs. It works out better to be a member you pay less and get more. This membership gives you monthly access to the Members Area's and Patreon.com/whatadventures unique behind-the-scenes uncut long videos of your rides and more. This will be a monthly subscription set up initially but you can cancel at anytime or stay for new content every month along with reduced fees on all other Desert Raids coming up. I am collaborating with local partners to bring you more support and features than before, One leader and one sweeper to support larger groups plus an official Desert Raid support vehicle for repairs, recovery and bike return back to Motozone in Dubai. Fuel on the raid is provided by us for when we pit stop for refuelling on the route.

We will all be meeting at the MotoZone Dubai Complex on the Al Ain road. Some riders already have their bike stored at MotoZone and will be ready waiting to ride.

The Route
Dubai to Fujairah
Once we depart, we will head to Fossil Rock for refuel and breakfast. We will be stopping at certain points on the route for a short rest and refuel then heading up through the Ras Al Khaimah dunes and over to the beach. The entire Raid should take anything between 6 and 8 hours depending on how you ride.

• For Members, the return option includes Footage and costs an additional 70dhs if you want to return the same day
• The Taxi Home Package includes transportation for the bike and rider back home
• For camp out, please bring your own gear and the support vehicle will bring it to meet us. Otherwise, you can bring friends or family and they can bring it
• Hotel bookings available on request

🟡 What is included in the Desert Raid? ✔️ We will provide your guides to suit all levels of riders from intermediate and up ✔️ Full length uncut video documentation and photo gallery for all subscription members plus behind the scenes video and other What Adventures by Karlevlogs benefits. Full details listed in your subscription plan ✔️ All fuel is covered. Pre planned rest stops and refuel. ✔️ Specially designed routes across country so that you get your fill of riding Support vehicles for recovery, repairs and transport ✔️ Final destination area for camp fire chill out at the end. ✔️ Bikes transported back to the start point by our support vehicle and trailer. limitted to 14 bikes
🟡 What is not covered in the package and extra? ✔️ Beer and drinks. Bring your own or you can buy from us. Usual house beverage package ✔️ Spare parts for repairs such as inner tubes for punctures ✔️ Food and is at your own expense and desire. This includes breakfast stops and camping at the end. Breakfast is typically 60 UAE dhs per head for food and coffee or smoothie ✔️ Camping equipment. Bring your own.
🟡 Do I need to subscribe as a member to join? ✔️ Yes, everyone needs to join up to What Adventures members subscription plan to join the Desert Raid. ✔️ It is a paid monthly subscription plan but you can cancel it any time if you wish ✔️ Some people join just for the Desert raid and some people stay subscribed to access new behind the scenes video content and online workshops every month ✔️ You also get other benefits such discount vouchers for riding gear stores at Old Timer in Motor City
🟡 How can I get my bike back the other end? ✔️ We have transportation for Desert raid participants in collab with Motozone Dubai. ✔️ We will bring your bike back for storage to MZ ready for your next ride. ✔️ Limited to 14 bikes only so get your booking request in asap.
🟡 What if I don't have my own bike or a friend is visiting and need to rent a bike? ✔️ We have bike rentals available and thanks to our collab with Motozone Dubai we can offer renting brand new KTM SXF 450 with full protective gear our Desert Raids. ✔️ You will need to contact Motozone for availability and then subscribe to What Adventure Desert Raid package to join the ride
🟡 What happens if my bike brakes down? ✔️ We have support vehicles following us all the way. Your bike can be fixed for minor repairs such as flat tires or recovery for major. Parts not included in the entry fee and must be paid extra.
🟡 What happens at the end? ✔️ A lot of riders usually stay and camp with us. We welcome it and its good fun as group. ✔️ There is a camp site that we pre plan and you can meet your family or friends at the end point for camping ✔️ Some riders prefer to return home same day but chill with us at the camp for a few hours before leaving. For those that want to leave back for Dubai the same day can have their bike transported back and return with it or have family, friends or drivers pick them up.
